From film and music to museums and festivals, the arts are a $5.5 billion industry in Texas, according to the Texas Cultural Trust's 2017 State of the Arts Report.

In addition to over $343 million a year in sales tax revenue, jobs connected to tourism for artistic and cultural attractions help grow Texas' economy.

With cuts to money for cultural districts up for discussion in the ongoing legislative session and looming threats about federal cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts, what's next for arts-related commerce in Texas? How will a cultural center like San Antonio adjust to potential changes?
