The Source: Reporters Roundtable Talks Houston HERO Defeat

Coined the "bathroom ordinance" by its opposition the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, that expanded protections for 15 different classifications including race, age, and sexual orientation, was easily defeated Tuesday night in a voter referendum. The battle over the ordinance went on for more than a year with those opposed zeroing in on who could use the woman's bathroom.

What does the defeat say about LGBT rights and will a voter-led referendum be coming to San Antonio?
