The Source: Business Friendly San Antonio

City of San Antonio

In the first segment:

San Antonio was given an A in terms of business friendliness by thumbtack.com.   What does it mean to be business-friendly?  And is it all that is cracked up to be?

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ramiro Cavazos joins us to speak to the business environment here in San Antonio.

Also joining us is Stacy Mitchell, senior researcher for the Institute for Local Self Reliance, who questions the idea that less regulation always means a business-friendly environment, especially for small businesses.

Mitchell cites studiesthat show some conflicting results.

In the second segment:

Salud America! is looking for strategies to combat Latino childhood obesity. The summit is based at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Becky Adeigbe joins us to talk about the summit and the research endeavors for kids.
