How would you like to perform at the new Tobin Center for the Performing Arts? This fall you can, as part of a collaboration between KPAC 88.3 FM and SOLI Chamber Ensemble! SOLI, San Antonio's premier chamber ensemble devoted to music of the 20th and 21st centuries, invites you to be a part of its season opening performances on December 1 at the Tobin Center or December 2 at Trinity University's Ruth Taylor Concert Hall.

In addition to music by Reena Esmail and Timothy Kramer, SOLI opens their 2014-2015 season this year with Terry Riley's landmark composition, "In C," celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

“In C” consists of 53 short musical phrases that are to be played in order, but any number of times, by any number or combination of instruments. The end result is a swirling, gamelan-like effect that is unlike anything you've heard before. It's the ultimate democratic composition!

If you're a musician, amateur or professional, and would like to take part in a live performance of "In C," please use this form to register. The concert is ticketed, but as a performer, you will receive a discount voucher good for an upcoming SOLI performance.

Rehearsals are being planned for November 18 and 30. Join us to create something unprecedented in San Antonio, and dare we say it--magical!
