UTSA Fund Raiser Brings Together Professionals For 'Great Conversation'

University of Texas at San Antonio

On Tuesday night the UTSA Great Conversation fund raiser raised over $160,000 for scholarships, research and other learning opportunities.

Held at the Institute of Texan Cultures, the event organized students and invitees in tables geared at addressing a variety of topics.

  • UTSA sociologist Harriett Romo talked about educational investments for local children
  • District Attorney Susan A. Reed discussed legal fact and fiction
  • BarkBusters dog trainer Phyllis McGough talked about dog training
  • T1 Tequila Master Distiller German Gonzalez talked about his company's craft

"UTSA has extremely generous donors," said Romo. "They have seen the impact that UTSA Honors students are making around the country and they are investing in UTSA to continue that progress."
