Turning Up The Heat On Violence Prevention In San Antonio

San Antonio saw a spike in violent crime in 2016. The summer months were deadliest, with 20 homicides in August alone. 

Research on seasonal crime patterns nationwide shows higher rates in the summer for violence involving weapons, aggravated assault, violence resulting in serious injury, sexual assault and intimate partner violence.

What local efforts are working to prevent and reduce violence? How can we curb the rate of violent crime in San Antonio?
