Three Students Arrested After Toy Guns Spark Lockdown At Roosevelt HS

Jolene Almendarez | Texas Public Radio
Parents waited outside the school for more information.

Three teenagers were arrested and charged with terroristic threat following a lockdown at Roosevelt High School Tuesday morning.

Reports of a gun on campus prompted the lockdown. A campus search only yielded two toy guns.

District spokeswoman Aubrey Chancellor says all three arrested, two 15 year old girls and one 14 year old boy, were ninth graders.

No injuries were reported, and classes continued during the lockdown.

Chancellor said parents can expect a letter from the school’s principal with more details.
