Stress can be a healthy response to daily demands and boost the body's performance, but what happens when the pressure becomes a consistent problem?


High stress can drive up a person's blood pressure and weaken the immune system, contributing to chronic pains like headaches and back problems. Meanwhile, behaviors like smoking, alcohol use and overeating are common self medicating habits for treating stress-related issues.

According to the American Psychological Association, the most common sources of stress in the U.S. include concerns about "the future of our nation," money and work. What are some coping strategies for daily stressors encountered at home and on the job?
