The Source: SA Tomorrow Plan Goes To Council For Consideration

San Antonio and the surrounding area is a magnet for people looking for economic opportunity - quality of life and great place to raise a family.

That's why another million people are expected to move into the city by 2040. So what will San Antonio look like with all those new comers?

What we do today will set the stage - will the streets be clogged - the air polluted - the natural settings spoiled - the housing crunched?

Or will the city be better prepared and able to use the population surge to make the San Antonio even better than it is today?

The SA Tomorrow plan will have a hand in deciding what we end up with.

Guests:

  • Rudy Niño, interim assistant director of Planning and Community Development at the City of San Antonio.
  • Steve Graham, assistant general manager for the San Antonio River Authority

Texas Public Radio is exploring the impact of our growing population with our Growing Pains project.
