The Source: Driving While Black Targeted By 'Sandra Bland Act'

Sandra Bland was driving through Waller County on July 10 2015 and was pulled over by then DPS Trooper for making a lane changes without properly signaling. Three days later she was found dead in her Waller County Jail cell. Her death was ruled a suicide. 

Bland's arrest was captured on video and ignited national protests. Today the calls for reform and systemic changes continue.

And in the upcoming Texas legislature the Sandra Bland Act will be introduced.
