So Percussion New Release: So Good, So Unique

Dan Trueman isn't a household name - but he's a very original composer making waves with new music for So Percussion. Their latest collaboration is "Neither Anvil nor Pulley," a very unique and entertaining release from Cantaloupe Records.

The five movement work spans humor, beauty, and intrigue. It also has Trueman playing Hardanger fiddle in folky tunes that are sampled in the odd numbered movements, while the central even numbered movements are expansive, rhythmic, and at times, mind blowing.

I had a chance to talk with two of the members of So Percussion, who shared insights and stories about "Neither Anvil nor Pulley."

Be sure to check their preview below, and definitely watch their studio performance on vimeo (also below).
