The San Antonio Spurs basketball team will wear jerseys with social justice phrases.

This week the San Antonio Spurs basketball team posted a photo of new jerseys on Facebook. Phrases like "BLACK LIVES MATTER" and "I CAN'T BREATHE" adorn the new uniforms.

In the post, the basketball team announced players will wear the jerseys for the home game scheduled on Friday against the Sacramento Kings.

The word "UGUAGLIANZA" translates to "social equality" in Italian. It will be printed on the jersey of Spur's player Marco Belinelli who is from Italy.

The franchise and its players have made it a habit to speak out against racial injustice.

Spurs' guard Patty Mills announced earlier this monthhe will donate his earnings from eight games to organizations like Black Lives Matter Australia and Black Deaths in Custody. The donation will equal out to be more than $1 million.
