Vojtech Okenka CC0: http://bit.ly/2meRTUZ

Women in San Antonio still have a long way to go to achieve gender parity when it comes to the highest positions of corporate leadership in seven local industries, according to a new report.

Analysis of 330 companies and 22 city government entities by the San Antonio Business Journal found that women lead about 31 percent of companies with at least 100 employees – two percent higher than the national average.

What is the state of San Antonio women in the c-suite? Why are top jobs out of reach for women in the workplace? What's keeping women from rising to positions as CEOs and on corporate boards of directors?

Are women more likely to achieve leadership status in certain industries? What can be done in San Antonio to shatter this glass ceiling and reward the top talent regardless of gender?
