Puddles, The Sad Clown With The Golden Voice, Keeps The World Smiling With Musical Creativity

A 7-foot tall clown dressed in white and wearing a small crown walks into a bar. He orders a Suicide. That’s all the soft drinks mixed together. No alcohol. The clown drinks it silently. There’s no punchline. That’s the story that Big Mike Geier tells about the first time he met Puddles.

In 2013 Puddles Pity Party uploaded a video to YouTube. It was a collaboration with the group Post Modern Jukebox, and was a cover of a song by Lorde called "Royals." To date the video has about 29 million views.

Puddles Pity Party has appeared on "America's Got Talent" three times and has performed in virtually every corner of the world.

Puddles doesn’t do interviews. But Mike Geiers, Puddles' arms length confidant, sat down with TPR's Jerry Clayton to tell us more about "the sad clown with the golden voice."

Listen to the full interview below, and then watch some of their performances.
