In June, there were 10,407 active listings. Houses spent an average of 53 days on the market and the median home price was $241,000.
Several things should be taken under consideration before listing, like: Is now the right time to sell? How will the sale affect your taxes? Do you have another place to live? Should you make repairs or updates before listing? How could a realtor help with the process?
Companies like Opendoor and Knock are enticing homeowners with quick offers, cash up front and the ease of completing the entire process online in a few days. There is a promise of convenience with iBuyers, but does that mean accepting a lower offer than selling your home with a realtor? What are other pros and cons to consider?
What are buyers looking for? Is it better to stage a home or have the property completely empty? What areas of your home should you highlight?
