How To Sell A Home In San Antonio

Aug 5, 2019

With housing inventory low and demand high, it's officially a “seller's market" in San Antonio.

What should homeowners know before making a decision to sell?

In June, there were 10,407 active listings. Houses spent an average of 53 days on the market and the median home price was $241,000.

Several things should be taken under consideration before listing, like: Is now the right time to sell? How will the sale affect your taxes? Do you have another place to live? Should you make repairs or updates before listing? How could a realtor help with the process?

Companies like Opendoor and Knock are enticing homeowners with quick offers, cash up front and the ease of completing the entire process online in a few days. There is a promise of convenience with iBuyers, but does that mean accepting a lower offer than selling your home with a realtor? What are other pros and cons to consider?

What are buyers looking for? Is it better to stage a home or have the property completely empty? What areas of your home should you highlight?

What are some common mistakes to avoid when selling your house? What are some things you can do to ensure a smooth sale that both sides are happy with?
