This Holiday Go See The Stuff That Makes San Antonio...San Antonio

Christmas has come and gone, and those visitors who have come from afar may be starting to get a little bored.  So why not get out and go see the town that many people believe is the most beautiful in the country?

While some places have irregular holiday hours, a lot of things don't, and they're especially great to go see over the holidays.

There is the obvious, of course: If you haven't been to the River Walkto see the lights, by all means--you should. They're a safe bet that your visitors will love, and you will, too.

And while you're downtown, don't forget the Museum Reach. It's also decorated. And while walking it is a great idea, you can always ride the River Barges, which continue running every day during the holidays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Voted the top must-do attraction for your out-of-town guests, The Saga continues to wow tourists and locals alike. The Saga is the computer animated history of South Texas projected on the facade of the San Fernando Cathedral at Main Plaza downtown.  The presentation is filled with local music from Flaco, Tish Hinojosa and others.

The University of the Incarnate Word's Light The Way display of nearly a million lights is definitely worth going to and walking through, and not as crowded as a lot of places might be.

Alamo Plaza's Christmas tree is breathtaking, and the setting is uniquely San Antonio. The Alamo backdrop will be a great place for holiday pictures, too.

The Japanese Tea Garden, just south of the zoo is a wonderful place for a stroll to work off the holiday food excess, and the temperate weather has plants looking great. If you've not gotten around to exploring it, this is definitely a good time for that.

There are dozens of less heralded places, perhaps neighborhood places of which you are aware. Get out and see them!
