The coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the U.S. economy, decimating American jobs and small businesses.

What fallout have we seen so far and what more is expected? Who is bearing the brunt of COVID’s economic impact? Which industries have been hit hardest?

Has COVID-19 caused a recession in the U.S.? Are we headed toward the second Great Depression?

What policy tools have been tried so far to mitigate the damage? What are the Fed, Congress and White House doing to help sustain the U.S. economy?

How is Texas faring compared to other states and what are the most important factors at play? What could the road to recovery look like post-pandemic?

Guest: Pia Orrenius, vice president and senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
