Bibliotech Expands To Four More School Districts, Military Schools

Bibliotech has expanded into four additional Bexar County school districts.

Bexar County Commissioners this week approved another wave of ereaders sent out into the community for students in the Edgewood, Somerset, San Antonio and Fort Sam Houston ISDs.

County Judge Nelson Wolff says this week’s donation of 150 ereaders brings the total number of the devices to 500 that have been committed to local school districts.

“This gives the ebook reader to the libraries – school libraries – where their students can check it out and take it home to read books on. And then our tech team helps them integrate all the books we have, and it gives them access to about 30,000 books,” he said.

Wolff says the county also has extended ereader offers to all of the other school districts that serve children of military personnel.

Bibliotech services also are available at The Warrior and Family Support Center and to any service member based in San Antonio but serving anywhere in the world.
