Two shootings within an hour of one another Wednesday night left two young girls, ages 5 and 7, fighting for their lives. A man and a woman were also injured in the incidents.

A 7-year-old girl has died less than day after being shot in the head while walking near her home with her family, police confirmed Thursday evening. A woman was also shot in the elbow in that same shooting.

Across town a 5-year-old girl who had been sleeping was also shot in the head and remained on life support along with a man who was shot outside her house.

San Antonio Police arrested a man earlier on Thursday and are still looking for three other suspects in connection to two separate shooting incidents Wednesday night.

Murian Issack Abdi, 19, has been charged with aggravated robbery and an outstanding warrant. His bond was  set at $100,000, police said.

Abdi’s arrest is related to an incident that occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Pecan Valley on the Southeast Side.

Police said two black men backed into the driveway of a home and accused someone inside of hitting their car. A man went outside and an argument broke out. The two black men then took out guns and began shooting at the man who had come outside the house.

The man was struck multiple times and police have identified him as Carlos Aguilar. He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center where he remains on life support.

Inside the home, a 5-year-old girl was sleeping in the front room, police reported. A bullet entered the house and struck her in the head. She was taken to University Hospital where she remains on life supper.

Three other men are wanted in connection to the shooting and robbery on Pecan Valley. Police are urging anyone with information to please contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered.

The other incident began at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 5500 block of San Fernando on the city's West Side. Police were dispatched to a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived they found a 7-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to the back of her head and a 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her elbow.

Both were taken to University Hospital where the 7-year-old later died and the woman is in stable condition. Details have not yet been released but four men, described by police as Latino, are suspected in the shooting. Police say they were driving a white Chevy, either an Impala or a Lumina with a spare tire on the front passenger side.
