TPR News

Joe Krier was appointed to the city council for district 9 after incumbent, Elisa Chan resigned to run for a state senate seat. Krier, formerly the San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce President, has been called a moderate and a pragmatist.

He recently penned a letter to the City of San Antonio's head lawyer, Robbie Greenblum. In it he asked whether the money allocated for VIA's new streetcar project had been spent. Upon learning that it had not been. He has come out publicly against the project. He has said the $32 million would be better spent. He advocated for a public vote on the subject, and vowed to take the results of the vote as gospel. Vox Populi Vox Dei.
