“Puro Conjunto: Border(less) Sound” celebrates how this uniquely Texan genre continues to thrive in San Antonio, the region, and beyond. The exhibit will highlight the people, places, and traditions at the heart of conjunto. Museum visitors will see conjunto pioneer Bruno Villarreal’s accordion, along with artifacts central to the genre—some of which will be on display for the first time--along with loans from the community and other organizations. Additionally, visitors are invited to get hands-on with a selection of musical instruments at an interactive station on the exhibit floor.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew? Led by Alamo Tailoring, this class will teach you the basics of sewing, cutting patterns, and more. You can bring your sewing machine, supplies, and any piece you want to work on!

Come one come all to a hands on weekly tea brewing class. Learn the simple steps to brewing a perfect, organic, all natural cup of hot or glass of iced tea any time. Do it at home, at work, on the road, literally anywhere you can get hot water (or cold water for cold brewed teas).

Ideal for repeat visitors to Villa Finale, this insider tour features stories about the house, its past inhabitants, and staff experiences: no two tours are the same! Led by Villa Finale’s curator who loves telling stories from her nearly two decades at the site, guests will also get the rare opportunity to explore parts of this magical home that are not seen during regular tours, plus other staff-only areas. This unique experience includes a beverage on one of our balconies (weather permitting).
