San Antonio Youth Ballet under the direction of Danielle Campbell Steans and choreographed by Gabriel Zertuche, will present the Firebird as an experience that the city of San Antonio has not witnessed. Dancers ages 3 to 17 will perform live, while audience members enjoy one of Stravinsky’s most famous works, performed alongside stunning local artists in the industrial chic and contemporary styled, Tobin Center for the Performing Arts’ Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater.
SAYB’s world premiere will introduce the audience to this fairytale favorite with classically trained dancers, who will perform in visually pleasing rhythms and flavors, accompanied by state of the art lighting. The program will consist of original choreography that is designed specifically to highlight the diversity of San Antonio‘s elite youth performers.
