Grass is among the most pesky of garden invaders. It spreads fast, crowding out other plants and guzzling water. How can you keep your garden beds grass-free and thriving?

Join Green Spaces Alliance for a work(ing)shop at International Community Garden, where you’ll learn how to remove grass and prevent it from returning. Then, put your skills to use – get hands-on and help remove grass from International’s garden beds!

All audiences are welcome. Come ready to learn and lend a hand!

Where: International Community Garden, 4242 Bluemel Rd., San Antonio, TX 78240
What: A brief lesson on removing grass and keeping it at bay, followed by hands-on weeding in garden beds. Other garden tasks – brush removal, pruning plants, cleaning faucet boxes, etc. – will be available as well.
Bring: A reusable water bottle, sun protection, gloves and tools (optional)
