Movie Theaters Face Uncertain Future As Studios Move Toward Streaming Releases

Warner Bros. has announced that its 2021 lineup of movies will be available the same day on their streaming service HBO Max as in theaters. Now both large theater chains like AMC as well as smaller, legacy establishments are struggling to survive during the COVID-19 pandemic that has already hit them hard.

Host Peter O’Dowd speaks with Kathleen Lyon and James “Buzz” Cusack, co-owners of The Charles Theatre and The Senator Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland, about this latest development.
