Berlin - Potsdam - Berlin

Begin the day with a trip to Potsdam to see the impressive Sans Souci Palace*. Return to Berlin for a comprehensive tour featuring Brandenburg Gate, Charlottenburg Palace, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Schoenberg City Hall, Kurfuerstendam and the Reichstag Building. Then pass through the area which was once "Check Point Charlie," and see what remains of the Berlin Wall. Today breakfast will be included.

Berlin - Prague, Czech Republic

After a brief introduction to key words and phrases of the local language, depart Berlin for the "Golden City" of Prague. Along the way, stop in Dresden, capital of the state of Saxony and an architectural gem on the banks of the Elbe River. Upon arrival in Prague, your afternoon is at leisure to explore this wonderful city. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.

Your introduction to this fairy tale city begins with a visit to the amazing Hradcany Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. Continue with a leisurely walking tour through the old town, showcasing the unique astronomical clock and the statue-lined Charles Bridge. The afternoon is at leisure to independently explore the city. Today breakfast will be included.

A tour of the city showcases some of its architectural marvels, including the magnificent St. Stephan's Cathedral and the lavish Schoenbrunn Palace, the summer retreat of the Habsburg dynasty. Sit back, relax and enjoy the picturesque Hungarian countryside en route to historic Budapest. Here, you'll discover Budapest, divided by the Danube with the historic Buda on one side and the cosmopolitan Pest on the opposite side. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.

The beautiful city of Budapest is often referred to as "the Queen of the Danube." Today, a local expert provides an informative city tour featuring Fishermen's Bastion, Mathias Church, Old Buda, the New Parliament and Gellert Hill. A special stop is made at Heroes Square, a unique monument to the many diverse leaders of Hungary. Later, enjoy free time to explore Budapest on your own. Today breakfast will be included.

Krakow - Auschwitz - Czestochowa - Warsa

A local expert guides you through the former concentration camp of Auschwitz. See firsthand the various prison cells and learn the history of the prison and many of the hardships that occurred within those walls. Next, travel north to the spiritual center of Poland and the hallowed shrine of the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa. Make your way through the monastery where you will see the famous Black Madonna, a sacred icon. The Black Madonna is world-renowned with more than 5 million pilgrims flocking to Czestochowa yearly to pay their respects. Later this afternoon you will arrive in the capital city of Warsaw. Krakow: Wieliczka Salt Mines - $50 USD
Travel outside of Krakow to one of the regions most fascinating locations, the magical Wieliczka Salt Mines. The historic Salt Mines in Wieliczka is the only mining site in the world functioning continuously since the Middle Ages. Lying on nine levels, its original excavations (longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes, as well as minor and major shafts) stretch for the total of about 300 kilometers. You will be met by your Miner Guide who will take you down into these spectacular mines that offer a maze of unique rooms, tunnels, chapels and salt statues, and have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This history comes alive on a guided tour of the neighborhood where Jewish residency was confined by law in the 13th century. Hear stories of success, heartbreak, perseverance, and persecution. Learn about the golom, the automaton of ancient Jewish legends which protected 16th century Jews. Visit the Old Jewish Cemetery, where the more than 12,000 graves are carefully fit into the tiny space, the oldest dating back to 1439. Vienna: Viennese Evening - Dining Experience & Classical Music Concert - $95 USD
Begin your night with a fabulous dining experience at one of Vienna's most popular and traditional restaurants. After enjoying dinner, experience classical music in true Imperial style during an unforgettable performance at the Schoenbrunn Palace Orangerie. Built in 1755, the imperial court held many elaborate festivities here among the exotic citrus and plants protected in the glittering, baroque Orangerie. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart debuted many pieces here, and it was here that he lost the legendary competition to court composer, Antonio Salieri, judged by the Emperor Joseph II himself.
