National Initiative Honors Connection Between Public Radio & Artists
Texas Public Radio will participate with hundreds of public radio stations in the second annual Public Radio Music Month, a month‐long initiative in April 2013 that celebrates public radio stations’ invaluable role in America’s music culture.
Live Call-in Talk Show to Air Monday Through Thursday at 3 p.m.
Beginning April 1, KSTX 89.1 FM, San Antonio’s NPR affiliate, will for the first time launch a live, listener call-in talk show. "The Source," Texas Public Radio’s award-winning program that captures the pulse of San Antonio, has been a part of the weekly KSTX lineup since January 2010.
Congratulations to Z Wright, the artist who submitted the winning design.
Z Wright has studied art, illustration and painting and has been involved with several high-profile San Antonio projects over the years, including Fiesta floats for the San Antonio Public Library and the San Antonio Zoological Society, designing and illustrating the trains for Fiesta gowns, painting murals in the old Hertzberg Circus Museum and creating bird illustrations for the San Antonio Zoo. He also spent many years working the theater as a prop artisan and scenic artist.
