204 acres of undeveloped land on the city's northside - one of the last areas that hasn't been turned into houses and shopping centers - could become the newest San Antonio Park. The city council meets Thursday to vote on whether or not to go ahead with the deal that would use conservation funds and future Bond revenue.

It seems incredible - but water activists say there's a catch - and this needs to be discussed before the city council approves the deal on Thursday. Annalissa Peace, executive directof of the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance blasted the deal in an email, as reported by the San Antonio Express-News.
Council Member Joe Krier says it's a great deal, and we should act now.

Guests:

  • Annalisa Peace, Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance
  • Joe Krier, San Antonio City Council Member for District 9
