Texas Public Radio celebrates our furry, feathered and scaly listeners with All Pets Considered on Sunday, September 20, from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Maverick Park.
The event, presented in partnership with Maverick Dog Park and the City of San Antonio Department of Parks & Recreation, is open to all TPR listeners and their pets and will include sponsor booths with pet-friendly and pet-focused items and services.
ACTIVITIES
- As a special privilege of membership, Boothologiewill be on-site, taking and printing a photo of each TPR Pet Member in front of a public radio-themed backdrop. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take their pet’s photo in our do-it-yourself photo booths.
- Kids can have fun with a variety of outdoor games, from Parties, Picnics & Promotions.
- There'll be dog training demonstrations, and opportunities for kids to learn sign language for dogs.
- If you don’t have a pet, or if your beloved pet needs a friend, San Antonio Pets Alive! will be on hand with adoption information and pets on site. Additionally, representatives from Lackland AFB will also be on site with Military Working Dogs that need loving foster homes.
Bring a picnic lunch or purchase a snack from onsite food trucks, Chango's Hot Dogs and Benjie's Munch Truck, and enjoy the day with us!
Finally, if you're coming, please consider bringing bags or cans of pet food to donate to Animeals. Working with Meals On Wheels, Animeals delivers pet food to seniors with pets in need.
