AccessAbility Fest

Texas Public Radio presents the 9th annual AccessAbility Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at El Mercado. The event is free and open to the public. AccessAbility Fest brings together businesses and organizations to share information, resources, ideas and support for people with all types of disabilities and special needs. The Fest celebrates these individuals and aims to provide them with a fun-filled and educational day that will be memorable. Caregivers of individuals with special needs and disabilities will find support and resource information to benefit them and their loved ones.The schedule of activities for AccessAbility Fest 2015 includes demonstrations, entertainment, a mascot parade, games and much more. And since it is happening just a few days after Halloween, attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes. Finalists will be selected to participate in the costume contest, where they will compete for fun and valuable prizes. Ample parking is available in close proximity, and shuttle buses are provided for those in need. It's October again, and as Halloween approaches that means its time for the seventh annual AccessAbility Fest presented by Texas Public Radio and disABILITYsa.org.

AccessAbility Fest 2013 is on Sunday, October 27 at El Mercado, Market Square, goes from noon-5 p.m. and is free and open to the public. A variety of free, accessible parking will also be available -- look under the "What's Happening" tab on the main website.
