There’s renewed speculation about Governor Rick Perry's political future, which could include another run for the White House. Perry said Monday that he is planning to "make an announcement" about "future political plans" in July.
This January, the state legislature convenes for the 83rd legislative session, and Perry needs to keep his political options open and lawmakers guessing in order to not appear like a lame-duck governor.
It is the fourth time for Maestro Quigley to lead the San Antonio Symphony and third to conduct the Messiah. More than 100 community members turned out at Sunset Station last night to talk about the city’s proposed streetcar system. The meeting was an effort to begin a two-way dialog between Vía Metropolitan Transit and people who would use and pay for mass transit.
Guests at the meeting gathered around tables with street maps and placed 6-inch lengths of track along downtown thoroughfares where they would like to see streetcars.

Christmas Through the Ages shows many of sides to the Symphony of the Hills. They will play the first portion of 'The Messiah,' selections by Mannhein Steamroller's Chip Davis as well as A Canadian Brass Chrsitmas. Classical masterworks of Vaughan-Williams and Samuel Barber also round out the program at the Callioux Theater on Thursday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m..
