April 20, 2009 · Forbes magazine has released its list of best cities for jobs in the U.S. and Texas dominates the list. The study is based on job growth in more than 300 metropolitan areas across the U.S., but the analysis also took into consideration how employment figures have changed in the last decade.
The cities were categorized according to size – big, mid-sized and small – and the top ten cities of each category were featured in the Forbes article. Texas cities top each category and of the thirty cities featured, twelve were in Texas. The study attributes the energy industry for state’s success.
