Season to Save

Do you have an old commode you'd like to replace?  San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is working to replace older (1992 and older) residential commodes with free, high-quality Crane New Metro (model 31012) commodes that sell for up to $150 each.  All commodes are white, round front, and come with all accessories necessary for installation, to include wax ring, bolts, and seat.  Customer satisfaction surveys prove these commodes work well.  A low-flow aerator and showerhead will be included with each commode, as well.

You get a voucher for up to two free commodes and the non-profit organization of your choice gets $25 for each commode given out.  You may assign the $25 bonus to Texas Public Radio, another non-profit organization, a neighborhood group or a favorite charity.

How it works:

1. Complete the application below.
2. Your application will be reviewed and information verified.  SAWS customer qualifications to receive commodes include:
   • have high-flow commodes to be replaced (usually older than 1992)
   • have not already received free SAWS commodes or a commode rebate
   • have at least two bathrooms in the home if two commodes are requested
   • have landlord consent prior to applying for new commode(s) and have provided his/her name and phone number below, if you are a renter
3. Customers who meet the qualifications will receive a large postcard that is their voucher for receiving the commode(s).  The postcard will have the time and date of the commode distribution event as well as the number of commodes that customer may pick up.
4. Customers come to the distribution event to pick up their free commode(s).
5. Install your new commode(s) within the first month after distribution and start saving water and money immediately!
